Introduction to Nakshathras

Bramhanda
In my Last blog I explained about the Rashi's or Zodiac Signs, Now in this blog will tell you a small story and continued with Birth Stars or Nakshathra's. So let us start up now.

Hindus believe that all the creations are from Lord Bramha, and he is the creator of the universe and that is the reason the whole universe is called as Bramhanda in Sanskrit. Lord Bramha has been genealogically classified into different groups. And these gents identified themselves as the Rishis or Saints. There are totally seven Rishis or Saints commonly known as SapthaRushi or Saptharishi, or Saptarshi. Still Hindu groups are identified by their Unique groups commonly known as Gothra's. In Astrology Gothra's are the primary thing to be checked while doing a match making for wedding relationships. I will talk about this in later stages. However let me tell you the name of those Seven Saints or Saptharushis.

1. Agastya  2.Angirasa 3.Atri 4.Bhrigu 5.Kashyapa 6.Vashista 7. Vishvamitra
These are now been recognized as the stars in the Universe and You can see this through your bare eyes. When you have a clear sky, identify the stars that are having a group of seven only. That group of stars are called as Saptharushi mandala. Now you might be thinking why is these required. Well you will know it soon, have patience for a while.
Bramha on Hamsa

While talking about Bramha, Bramha after he generates 10 Manasa Purthras, he generated Daksha and 4 others from his boday parts. It is said that Daksha has been generated from his right Thumb. Daksha means "The highly skilled one". He had 2 wives, Prasuthi and Panchajani. Let not to confuse you I will directly come tot the point. Panchajani gave birth to 60 kids and among which 27 daughters married to Chandra(Moon) and these 27 daughters are known as Birth stars or Chanma Nakshathra's. Will Tell you about those Nakshathras in my Next blog.  Since that topic will get confused to you. So don't worry about that till my next blog.

Until then have a wonderful week.
